Kitchen Tip #12

Are you tired of all of your cleaning supplies being piled up under the kitchen sink?  My tip for today is to take an over the door shoe organizer and place it over your pantry door.  The little pockets work great to hold cleaning supplies, rags, etc.  Have a wonderful day!

Today's Kitchen Tip

Good Morning!!! Ever wonder what to do with those last slices of bread that are a little too stale for your taste?  Make some croutons!  It's easy and they are sooooo much better than the store bought kind.

Take any stale bread and lightly spread with butter or margarine. Dice into cubes. Sprinkle with seasoned salt, garlic or onion salt, or ranch dressing mix.  Place in a 225 degree oven and toast until browned and dry all the way through. Stir occasionally so that all sides brown evenly.

Enjoy!

Kitchen Tip #11

Happy New Year!  For the first kitchen tip of this year I decided to throw out the resolutions and let you enjoy some more sweetness!  For a quick afterschool snack or even a movie time snack we all LOVE graham crackers with buttercream frosting.

In a small/medium size bowl place 1/4 c. of margarine.  If you reallllly want to use butter then you are going to have to soften it in the microwave.  Measure out 2 cups of powdered sugar and  put in the bowl.  Add 1/2 t. of vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of milk at a time until you have a creamy mixture.  You can also add food coloring if you would like.  Break graham crackers in half so that you have 2 squares and slather on the frosting.  Enjoy!
